General information, not medical advice
Pak Source publishes general information about feeding babies and toddlers, including recipes, meal ideas, food preparation and storage, and feeding products. The content is for general educational purposes only. It is not medical, nutritional or other professional advice, and it does not replace advice from your child’s doctor, pediatrician, health visitor or a registered dietitian.
Every child is different. Age, development, growth, allergies, medical conditions and medicines all affect what is right for your child. Always talk to your child’s health professional before changing their diet, especially if your child:
- was born prematurely, or has a medical condition or developmental delay;
- has a diagnosed food allergy, severe eczema, or a family history of food allergy;
- has trouble swallowing, chewing or gaining weight;
- follows a special diet or takes medicine.
How our content is checked
Unless a post clearly names a qualified reviewer, it has not been reviewed by a doctor, dietitian or other health professional.
We base health, safety and nutrition statements on published guidance from recognised authorities, and we link to that guidance in each post’s “Sources” section. These authorities include the American Academy of Pediatrics (HealthyChildren.org), the World Health Organization, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the UK National Health Service and the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Guidance differs between countries and changes over time. If anything you read here differs from your health professional’s advice, follow your health professional.
Emergencies
If your child is choking, struggling to breathe, showing signs of an allergic reaction (such as swelling of the lips or face, hives, repeated vomiting or floppiness), or seems seriously unwell, call your local emergency number immediately. For example, call 911 in the US and Canada, 999 or 112 in the UK, and 1122 in many parts of Pakistan. Do not rely on this website in an emergency.
Recipes and food safety
Recipes and serving ideas are examples. You are responsible for making sure that ingredients, textures, sizes and temperatures suit your child’s age and stage, and for supervising your child while they eat. Allergen notes in our recipes are a guide only, so always read product labels. Any nutrition figures are estimates.
Products
When we mention a product, follow the manufacturer’s instructions, age guidance and safety warnings, and check for recalls with your country’s product safety authority. Product details and prices change, so always confirm them with the retailer.
No liability
We work to keep our content accurate and up to date. However, we make no guarantee that it is complete, current or suitable for your child. To the fullest extent the law allows, Pak Source is not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from use of this website or reliance on its content. See also our Terms of Use.
